About Baumm USA

Founded in Argentina in 2005, BAUMM is Launching in the United States nearly 20 year later

Baumm was founded in Argentina by Lucas Desimone in 2005 out of curiosity and the desire to transform waste into something useful.

Lucas realized that there was huge potential in parachute and paraglider fabric, that, for safety and regulatory reasons, can only be used a finite amount of time for flying before being decommissioned.

Lucas has teamed up with long-time collaborator and friend Ryan Volatile, who just moved back to the United States after 11 years in Buenos Aires, to launch Baumm USA, with upcycled products and concepts designed specifically for the American public.

Our signature products are made from upcycled parachutes and paragliders, each having traveled over 300 hours, soaring through skies and across landscapes. Once these materials reach the end of their flying days, we give them a second life, transforming them into unique, eco-conscious designs.

The bright colors, and patchwork design of our products are more than just aesthetic choices—they are a tribute to the adventures the materials have lived through.

All of our pieces are numbered to maintain their authenticity, ensuring that each Baumm creation is truly unique.
